Eye on Travel with Peter Greenberg

I became fascinated with Iceland at age twelve when I saw the word “Reykjavík” on an in-flight map en route to Spain. Over a decade later, I became a resident of Iceland and made a life there for three years, from 2015-2018.

In this episode of the CBS News show Eye on Travel, I sit down with Emmy Award-winning travel journalist Peter Greenberg in Reykjavík, Iceland to discuss the country’s lure for travelers and its struggle to balance tranquility with tourism.

Listen to my segment below—or the full episode here, which features additional conversations with Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, President of Iceland, and Eliza Reid, First Lady of Iceland.
